About Us

The Word Of God

We believe that the Christian Bible is the Word of God and is the divine inspiration and supreme authority of the One and only true God. That there is the existence of one God in three persons: The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit.

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness. (2 Timothy 3:16 NIV)

Salvation

We believe that men and women can be reclaimed from the consequences and power of sin because of Jesus Christ’s perfect obedience to God the Father. We believe that by belief and confession in His life, sacrificial death, and His resurrection from the dead that we can be cleansed and made right with God.

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. (John 3:16-17 NIV)

Salvation comes by repentance and when… ‘you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.’ (Romans 10:9 NIV)

The Church

That the church is a body of Christian people who have responded to the Word of God and the call of the Holy Spirit and have been united to Jesus Christ and to His people by their own personal confession of faith.

Jesus Christ established His Church so that people with a common belief can be nurtured and cared for in fellowship with others. To be educated and appreciate the Word of God and its value in the world, whilst acknowledging that Christian’s lives will continue to be filled with trials and tests from a very real spiritual enemy.

We Believe that the Church doesn’t just exist to get people into heaven, but also to train and equip them so that they are complete in Christ and able to live for Him here on Earth.

Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit. (Ephesians 2: 19 – 22 NIV)

Baptism & the Lord’s Supper

The church baptises professing believers in the name of The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. Baptism is by immersion into the water as it portrays “going down” into death and “coming up” into resurrection with Christ.

The Lord’s Supper is done in honour and remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice until His return and is a sign of our participation in Him.

Then Jesus came to them and said,

All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. (Matthew 28: 18 – 20 NIV)
